Join us as a Construction Safety Supervisor in Boston, MA! In this role, you'll be responsible for regularly conducting site inspections to assist project teams to identify and mitigate hazards to ensure a safe work environment. You will ensure project teams, including subcontractors, are executing site work in compliance with OSHA and company safety policies.

Responsibilities:

• The Construction Safety Supervisor will support the site project management team to deliver project specific Safety & Health programs at the field location. This position will create and implement safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe, healthy, and incident-free work site in a construction environment.
• Monitor Safety & Health activities on field construction projects to verify operations are executed as planned and conducted safely.
• Execute Safety & Health Program deliverables as defined by the Corporate Safety & Health Department of Emmaty by responding to questions and/or concerns related to site-specific safety and health compliance issues on time.
• Maintain compliance with applicable Local, State, and Federal Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) rules and regulations.
• Investigate actions related to a work stoppage when circumstances could lead to an immediate danger to life and health on a project.
• Report safety and health concerns that have been resolved safely and present the details and the personnel involved to the project management team.
• Conduct, monitor, and record project safety & health walk-through assessments with subcontractor safety personnel.
• Present all safety assessment findings to appropriate parties.
• Manage and document safety activities which require immediate correction and verify that these items are corrected on time.
• Prepare documents to be distributed relative to safety, including assisting Site Management with correspondence to heighten safety awareness, project safety and health goals and ensure a safe and productive work environment is a priority among all project personnel.
• Conduct and document training on environmental, safety & health subjects.
• Review and complete, as necessary, near miss, property damage, environmental incidents and Accident Investigation reports and recommend countermeasures as appropriate.
• Present project Safety & Health program progress, challenges, and objectives to Corporate Safety & Health.
• Complete Emmaty's daily project Safety & Health reporting requirements and ensure project-specific Safety & Health records are always in an audit ready state.
• Verify project subcontractors maintain all required safety records in an audit-ready state and submit all documentation as required to the Project Manager.
• Drive to various project site locations.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Complies with all policies and standards.

Qualifications:

• 2 years of construction safety experience.
• Experienced knowledge of Occupational Safety & Health Administration (OSHA) Construction and General Industry Regulations, as well as America National Standards Institution (ANSI), the National Institute for Occupational Safety & Health (NIOSH).
• Prior experience with MBTA projects is preferred.
• Must be proficient in the use of computer software (i.e., Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Must be willing to work various schedules at different project site locations.
• Valid driver's license is Required.
• OSHA 10-hour Construction Outreach Safety Training Course Required
• OSHA 30-hour Construction Outreach Safety Training Course Required
